Following the recent transfer of Schaffner Test Systems to a group of investors headed by the division’s former manager, Johannes Schmid, the new enterprise begins its business activities on November 27, 2006 under its new name: Teseq – Advanced Test Solutions for EMC. Teseq will continue to maintain and selectively expand the current Schaffner EMC test equipment product line. Moreover, the enterprise has also retained the entire Schaffner Test Systems staff in a move designed to guarantee continuity in terms of know-how and service quality.
With the exception of a number of distinct advantages, no changes are in store for Teseq’s customers when it comes to their business interaction with the former Schaffner Test Systems. Every customer will receive the same high-quality services provided by the very same individuals they have come to know and trust. The added benefits centre on the complete independence of Teseq and its new capacity to focus exclusively on its core business of supplying EMC test systems. This is also reflected in the streamlined task of managing its approximately 130 employees as a self-contained unit. In addition to this the fact that the employees themselves control a majority of the enterprise will ensure ultimate flexibility and complete commitment.

In keeping with the tradition of its predecessor, Teseq will continue to place great value in sound research, development and innovation as well as in meeting the requirement of swiftly adapting its products to the very latest technologies and EMC standards. Teseq will also continue to be active on a global scale and will maintain its own sales and service bases in close proximity to its clients. Development and production in Switzerland and Germany stand for the highest standards of quality and the enterprise’s four accredited laboratories help to ensure that this also remains the case throughout the service life of its products.

Paul Dixon is MD of Schaffner Ltd. and manages the UK activities of the Schaffner group. As part of the MBO terms negotiated between Teseq and Schaffner, he is also MD of Teseq Ltd. Dixon comments; “Both companies are located at the existing Wokingham site, this is both cost effective and allows the continuation of synergies between the two companies to the benefit of both.” Pictur shows Johnny Schmid, President of Teseq.
