TE Connectivity has joined the connected lighting alliance

TE Connectivity (TE) has joined The Connected Lighting Alliance (TCLA). John Akins, Senior Sales & Marketing Manager of TE-division Intelligent Buildings was presented with the company’s membership certificate by TCLA Secretary General Frank van Tuijl on March 15 during the 2016 Light + Building Expo in Frankfurt, Germany.

The presentation was made on the TCLA booth (Hall 4.1, booth E54). With 38 members, including leading lighting companies worldwide, TCLA’s mission is to promote the global adoption and growth of wireless lighting solutions by supporting open standards.

“It gives me great pleasure to welcome TE to The Connected Lighting Alliance,” said van Tuijl. “The lighting industry is on the eve of a paradigm shift towards wireless connectivity and it is extremely important that companies active in the sector work together to ensure we maximise the potential of wireless technology. Having one of the world’s leading developers of connectivity solutions in our ranks will strengthen our cause considerably.”
