Survitec sponsors naval proficiency award

Safety solutions provider, Survitec, has sponsored and presented a naval commendation awarded to military personnel handling survival equipment in the field.

The Neptune Award represents the highest level of proficiency achieved over the course of a 54-week Royal Navy Survival Equipment course.

David Griffiths, ‎Vice President of Defence Sales at Survitec, was on hand to present the award on 1st December at RNAS Yeovilton to NA(SE) Davies O 30255671.

David Griffiths, Vice President Defence Sales at Survitec, said: “Learning when and how to effectively deploy survival equipment in the field can literally be the difference between life and death, so it is vital that new recruits are taught exactly how to get the most out of the gear they are equipped with.

“We are proud to have presented this award to the deserving candidate and have our name attached to such a prestigious accolade. The Neptune Award represents discipline, courage and a determination to a course that we feel honoured to be associated with. It is a great opportunity for us but also for the candidate to represent top-tier military personnel handling survival equipment in the field.
