Solid State Supplies appoints Ian Siddall as applications group manager

Solid State Supplies has appointed Ian Siddall as applications group manager to extend its technical support capabilities following a year of exceptionally strong growth. Siddall joins the distributor from Vitesse Semiconductor where he was a European field applications engineer. He will initially take responsibility for the CML and Digi franchises but also play a wider product marketing role in identifying future products and technologies to meet the requirements of Solid State’s customers. Siddall has a BSc in Electronic Engineering and is Chartered Engineer.

Solid State Supplies managing director, John Macmichael said, “Finding experienced and well-qualified applications engineers is a challenge for all distributors and we’re delighted that Ian is joining us. His track record is outstanding and I’m sure he’ll make a very valuable contribution in enhancing our company’s reputation as a niche distributor that provides exceptional levels of technical support.”
