Sharp extends partnership with Avnet Embedded in the UK

Avnet Embedded today announced that its franchise agreement with Sharp Microelectronics Europe for display products has been extended to cover the UK. Commenting, Martin Brooks, vice president, Avnet Embedded, said, “Our new agreement with Sharp gives our customers access to their huge range of high quality TFT panels covering the wide spectrum of applications that exist in the UK.

Franco Morotti, General Manager Distribution / Industrial / Consumer of Sharp Microelectronics added, “Avnet Embedded has built an impressive track record as a distribution organisation offering exceptional technical support on a local basis built on the back of a very strong logistical and commercial organisation. We believe that appointing Avnet Embedded in the UK will help grow our customer base and business in this region.
