Sanmina-SCI named as Nujira Supplier of the Year

Nujira has presented its first ever Supplier of the Year award to Sanmina-SCI, in Shenzhen, China. Sanmina-SCI started volume production of the Nujira Coolteq™.h power modulator module for cellular base stations in December 2008. Nujira Coolteq modules can halve the energy consumption of 3G and 4G base stations by improving the efficiency of the RF transmission circuits.

Nujira Coolteq power modulator modules can more than double the efficiency of RF transmission circuits in cellular base stations, cellular handsets, broadcast transmitters and military communications systems. The Power Amplifier uses around half the power of a typical cellular base station – and according to industry estimates the transmission network can account for 86% of a cellular operator’s carbon emissions. Coolteq modules use a patented evolution of envelope tracking principles that modulates the power supply to the RF power amplifier continuously in line with the transmission requirements.
