Richardson Electronics has signed a global distribution agreement with Integrated Device Technology (IDT). The distributor will offer IDT’s RF and RF timing products throughout North America, Europe and Asia. It has a large team of experienced RF specialists to work with customers interested in IDT’s rapidly expanding portfolio of innovation-driven RF products.

“IDT has a stellar line of RF products, and Richardson Electronics looks forward to spreading the word around the globe as we serve as an extension of IDT’s engineering team,” said Greg Peloquin, executive vice president of Richardson Electronics’ Power & Microwave Technologies group. “We don’t just price a part number; we work with our customer to determine the best parts for their application, offering application support, cross referencing, testing, logistics, and even aftermarket technical service.”

IDT’s RF portfolio is entirely silicon based, offering distinct advantages over older RF devices built around gallium arsenide. IDT’s RF products include attenuators, mixers, modulators and demodulators, variable gain amplifiers, switches and RF timing devices. The devices are used in a myriad of applications that demand innovative high-performance RF solutions.

“In just a few short years, IDT has developed an extremely strong portfolio of RF products with 15 million pieces shipped, and we wanted to partner with a distributor that’s equally strong,” said Mario Montana, vice president and chief sales officer at IDT. “Richardson Electronics has experience servicing and developing the RF semiconductor channel. Their team has the expertise to work with customers on today’s most challenging designs and show how IDT’s technology can help them reach their goals.”
