VadaTech has announced the acquisition of Radio Frequency Simulation Systems (RFSS), a company specialising in the design of high fidelity, wide band, high bit count Digital RF Memories (DRFM), radar and IFF test systems and electronic countermeasure systems. DRFM are a critical component in complex and sophisticated RF simulation systems used to test a wide variety of active radar sensors and systems and the acquisition will strengthen VadaTech’s solution offering in radar systems.

DRFM are also used by RFSS in a wide variety of applications including radar target generators, electronic counter measures/target generators, Mark X & Mark XII IFF simulators and radar environment simulators for tactical, testing and training applications. VadaTech provides FPGA, ADC and DAC technology that is well suited to DRFM-based systems. RFSS has strong system integration expertise and can significantly advance its product offering by using VadaTech technology.

Saeed Karamooz, CEO, VadaTech, commented: “The natural synergies between the product sets of RFSS and VadaTech will provide great results for customers in terms of time-to-market and functionality for their next generation platforms. This acquisition is in line with VadaTech’s philosophy of providing customers with access to cutting edge technology and we look forward to creating innovative solutions together.”

“RFSS customers will benefit from improved performance and reliability, and dramatic reductions in the Size, Weight, Power and Cost (SWAP-C) of their solutions thanks to integration with VadaTech’s advanced hardware modules. VadaTech’s global sales and distribution network also means more local support and capability,” added Richard Damon, President and CEO, RFSS.
