Components Bureau, one of the UK's leading electronic components distributors, has strengthened its product portfolio with the formation of key alliances with some of the world's most innovative LED, switch and battery manufacturers. Uniquely positioned as a single point of contact for worldwide component supply, Components Bureau is now offering faster lead times and simple ordering procedures across the complete range of its products.
In the current climate, stock is being reduced all the way through the supply chain resulting in lead times becoming extended, so we have focused on making our turnaround times faster to help our customers strengthen their competitive edge, states Andrew Ferrier, Commercial Manager of Components Bureau. In addition, we've been joined by top class manufacturers who share our vision of providing cutting-edge technology and seamless production and delivery.

LED manufacturer Neo-Neon, a major producer of hi-tech LED illumination products will be familiar to anyone who saw the spectacular 'Birds Nest Stadium' as the centrepoint of the recent Beijing Olympics. Highly regarded for offering complete solutions to the architectural, decorative and street lighting industries, Neo-Neon showcased a stunning multi-coloured walkway leading to the stadium, along with numerous other LED signs illuminating the entrance.

Neo-Neon's manufacturing capabilities are state-of-the-art and are considered to be unrivalled in Asia. A new 100,000m² factory was completed in 2007 to expand the production capacity of raw LEDs and the new Commercial LED and Vision Series product ranges, and its own LED chip facility was opened the following year - an investment which ensures that Neo-Neon has a reliable, high-quality and low cost source for high-power and white LEDs. Capable of producing 1W, 3W and 5W SMD chip solutions, the organisation's expertise in street lighting solutions also gives access to single die 50W, 100W and 120W arrays up to 6500 lumens brightness, making Neo-Neon products perfect for any lighting application.

Components Bureau has also announced a new partnership with Taiwanese manufacturer, Hua-Jie Corp; a company that manufactures an extensive array of switches including tactile, power, rotary, slide, limit and lever switches. With 100 in-house designers, over 20 new models are introduced every year - each of which is adaptable to the user's ODM/OEM specifications. A recent addition is its TSK series, a low-profile tactile switch with a long life of one million uses, alongside the TSB series, only 0.55mm high and measuring 4.8mm x 4.2mm.

Predominantly exporting to America and Asia up until now, Hua-Jie Corp's technologies have already benefited customers such as HP, Samsung and LG. Components Bureau is now confident that its success will translate to the UK market, where customers can now experience the quality and service for themselves. Hua-Jie is able to offer a flexible quota for minimum order, buyer's label, and design and manufacture based on the user's exact requirements.

An additional partnership with Far East manufacturer, Minamoto has extended Components Bureau's product card line, with industrial batteries now available for a wide range of industrial applications.

Specialising in the Lithium Polymer battery field, Minamoto has also developed expertise in high-quality rechargeable batteries such as NiMH and NiCd Batteries in Cylindrical, Button Top and Flat Top Styles.

By strengthening our portfolio we are addressing the needs of the market at this time, but additionally by working with innovative partners we are ensuring an even stronger position when the green shoots of recovery appear. Ferrier continues, Our combination of fast, cost-effective supply backed by over two decades of industry experience means we are not simply a supplier, but a vital link to success for our customers.
