ProVision appoints CFO to build on commercial success in wireless HD video market
ProVision Communications today announced David Newland has joined the company as chief financial officer (CFO). David, a former Vodafone Group Financial Controller and Managing Director for its UK Paging division, has over 20 years of experience as a Financial Director of mobile telephony and wireless networks. David spent 16 years at Vodafone, since then he has been providing consultancy services to the telecom sector.
DaviProVision's CEO, Steve Cliffe, said this appointment is a key one for the Company. He is part of a strategic move that enables ProVision to launch into the wireless video market. David's track record of delivering results for both start ups and blue chip organisations will prove vital for our growth.
Commenting on his new role, David added, ProVision is a truly exciting venture, especially following a very successful CES. I'm delighted to be joining at this critical time.
ProVision's technology is sold under an IP licensing model and will be integrated into set top boxes and TVs from major consumer electronics manufacturers and multinational OEMs.
