Newbury Electronics has announced that is has upgraded its PCB Train Express service to a same day turn around on prototype PCBs. Previously, if the data was received by 9am, the boards would be dispatched the following working day. As a result of refining its processes, the company will now complete the entire process from receipt of data, tooling and testing so that the boards will be dispatched the same day and delivered by 12pm the following day.

Philip King, Managing Director, Newbury Electronics, said: "We know from our clients that the quick turnaround of a high quality prototype is critical when projects are in the development stage. It is often the case that the project can't move forward to the next stage until the PCB has been produced and incorporated and, as we all know, 'time is money'. We believe that this enhanced service is in a league of its own and cannot be matched."

Apart from the speed of response other benefits of the service are that it uses the same high quality products and processes as the main PCB production service and it is, according to clients, 'unsurpassed value for money'. Quotes are available online, where orders may be placed and data uploaded at any time of day. If an order is submitted prior to 9.00am, PCB Train Express products will be shipped the same day.

PCB Train Express is a very low cost fast turnaround prototype PCB manufacturing service. It is aimed to permit rapid prototyping of new electronic designs at the bench-top test stage. The PCB Train Express service is not suitable for producing production quality PCBs, that would be handles by Newbury Electronics, but it does replace the need for organisations to make their own prototypes.

The PCBs supplied are either two layers (same day dispatch) or four layers (next day dispatch) 1.6mm Fr4 PTH, 1oz copper finished thickness, immersion silver finish, without solder resists or legends.
