National Instruments has opened registration for engineers and scientists to join the European Tour of LabVIEW Developer Days, taking place in 75 cities around the continent. The 6 month tour begins in September 2012, with 10 locations in the UK & Ireland.
LabVIEW Developer Days is free to attend for engineers, scientists and programmers who want to learn NI software basics or improve their existing skills. The day offers a range of technical sessions from introductory through to advanced, designed to improve product skills, knowledge and productivity using the award-winning NI LabVIEW software. Attendees will learn from in-depth topic presentations, product demonstrations and hands-on sessions, whilst networking with local colleagues and engineers.

All LabVIEW abilities are welcome at each event and Developer Days consists of 2 tracks, in order to accommodate all abilities:

Introductory programmers will take a demo-centric tour through the LabVIEW platform to find out why graphical programming is used by tens of thousands of engineers across the globe to increase productivity and lower costs for test, control and design applications. Attendees will also test-drive LabVIEW 2012 and PC-based data acquisition systems to create flexible, modular applications and acquire temperature measurements in minutes.

Intermediate programmers will learn about the new features in LabVIEW 2012, NI’s vision for the LabVIEW platform and hear tips from the World's Fastest LabVIEW Programmer about techniques, features and functions to help code faster and save development time.

Both tracks feature winning applications from the UK & Ireland Graphical System Design Achievement Awards, demonstrating the potential of LabVIEW and UK & Irish engineering. All attendees have the chance to voice an opinion or quiz the panel of LabVIEW experts, system integrators and experienced programmers about graphical system design, by taking part in the Panel Discussion, a forum designed to share knowledge and best practices. Additionally, NI is inviting proficient users of LabVIEW to take the Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer exam free of charge during this European tour, providing a saving of £99 or €109.
