Nexcom’s Series of Network Appliances are ultra-reliable hardware platforms that are utilized by many of the world’s leading suppliers of IT Security Products. The NSA Series includes a vast array of platforms ranging from low-power Celeron/VIA Solutions right through to high-performance dual-core CPU platforms with 18 LAN ports. This means that within the Nexcom range there is a product capable of hosting most small, medium and enterprise based applications within IT Security, including Firewall, VPN, Anti-virus/Anti-spam, HTTP scanning, IDS/IPS, Unified Threat Management, URL filtering and XML filtering. In addition, Nexcom’s cost-effective customization service makes product re-branding a real possibility.
Typical of the NSA range is the new NSA 1083. This powerful 1U platform supports Intel’s Core 2 Duo Processor and incorporates a line fault Tolerance design with Dual Latch Copper GbE Bypass. In addition, it also boasts 8 LAN ports (2 PCI-32 GbE LAN and 6 PCIe GbE LAN). Like all Nexcom’s range of Network Appliances the NSA 1083 is built for cost-effective, 24/7 operation in even the most demanding of environments.
