With this technology the L10660 is able to produce 2.6 mW of radiant flux at 1.45 μm using the same forward current as the conventional type. This extended emission wavelength is very unique among LEDS designed for spectrophotometry. The new LED is suitable for applications where high stability is required, featuring a wavelength variation of only +/- 0.05 μm.
The high stability and long emission wavelength of the emitted infrared light makes the L10660 ideal for spectrophotometry, as well as foreign matter screening and moisture detection applications. The compact size (5.4 mm Ф, 3.6mm height) of the L10660 will save space in equipment where assembly space is critical, making it an attractive alternative to conventional lamps.
