Inteliquent has today announced the release of a new white paper, “Why Enterprises Should Future-Proof Their WAN Investment with Carrier Ethernet.” The paper, authored by Frost & Sullivan, the Growth Partnership Company, discusses the key trends shaping the Carrier Ethernet services market, including factors driving adoption and the challenges associated with implementation.
It concludes with a review of Inteliquent’s EtherCloud offering, and how the service can help enterprises effectively address these challenges.

“When enterprises begin to evaluate providers for a Carrier Ethernet solution, they should definitely include Inteliquent,” states Roopashree Honnachari, Program Manager, Business Communication Services at Frost & Sullivan. “Given its global Ethernet footprint, end-to-end network management capabilities and a simplified Ethernet buying experience, Inteliquent’s EtherCloud offering is well positioned in the market to fulfill the enterprise demand for Carrier Ethernet services.”

EtherCloud both transforms and simplifies the complexities of building an Ethernet network by providing a simplified Ethernet VPLS solution that leverages its global network and relationships. This helps enable customers to easily reach new markets outside their footprint from virtually anywhere in the world. A Layer 2 platform, EtherCloud relies on Inteliquent’s global MPLS backbone, which is accessible in 120 POPs across four continents, to interconnect partners’ networks through standardized Ethernet Network-to-Network Interconnects.
