Hansatech EMS Limited today announced that it has installed Epicor Software Corporation’s Enterprise Resource Planning solution, Epicor 9, at its Poole site. Designed specifically for the EMS market, the system’s in-built functionality, total cost of ownership and compliance with the latest standards were key selection criteria for achieving improved process efficiencies, manufacturing cost visibility and enhanced profitability.
“We regularly health-check our business operations to ensure our manufacturing solutions remain competitive,” said Paul Gill, Managing Director, Hansatech EMS. “With the Epicor 9 system we believe we now have the optimum package to provide what customers want without increasing our overall cost base.”

Hansatech was the first vendor to go live with Epicor 9 ERP software in April 2009. The system was up and running in an exceptionally short timeframe ensuring minimal disruption to manufacturing and a faster attainment of measurable return on investment. Utilising Web 2.0, Epicor 9 allows unprecedented agility and supports continuous performance improvement through document management, non-conformance reporting, real-time tracking and traceability, Microsoft Office compatibility and custom configuration.

Adam Prince, Senior Director of Product Marketing at Epicor commented, “Epicor has a distinguished track record of delivering the latest, flexible technologies at the lowest total cost of ownership for its UK based customers. Epicor’s newest SOA ERP solution, the web-based Epicor 9, is based on an adaptable and collaborative business architecture that offers new levels of flexibility, usability, and agility. This enabled the fast, smooth implementation of Epicor 9 at Hansatech, and was supported by Epicor’s consultants working efficiently alongside Hansatech’s IT staff”.

Hansatech EMS has 25 years experience in providing electronic product life-cycle support to customers via its manufacturing facilities in the UK and partners in Eastern Europe and Asia. The new ERP system is assisting in the effective implementation of world class design, manufacture and test strategies, high volume or fast turn production and high quality outsourced manufacturing services. It also supports the latest industry standards, including ISO 9001:2000 (quality) and AS9100 (aerospace), for which the company has accreditation.
