On it's 40th anniversary, NürnbergMesse celebrates continued success. In 2013, the company's revenue was €193m, the highest in it's history. The company have continued this success into 2014, with event formats developing more positively than the average for the sector and the global orientation gaining more importance.

The reasons for the most recent success of NürnbergMesse are varied – but one thing in particular becomes clear: The trust placed in NürnbergMesse by some 27,000 exhibitors and 1.13m visitors in 2013 is reflected in 174 trade fairs, congresses, public events and company events. For example, over 800,000m² of net display space were booked for the first time in an odd year. The NürnbergConvention Center has set a new record with revenue of €17.4m. And the worldwide presence of NürnbergMesse meanwhile extends to 109 countries, including currently 46 international representatives, five of them subsidiaries. The Nürnberg exhibition location also profits from this worldwide network, because it brings international visitors and exhibitors to the local exhibition centre and thus also creates noticeable added value in the region.

“This has probably brought the metropolitan region economic effects of about €1bn in 2013 alone,” says Dr. Roland Fleck, CEO, NürnbergMesse.

And this is continuing, as Peter Ottmann, CEO, NürnbergMesse, points out: “The key exhibition parameters for the first half of 2014 are also a real source of pleasure. In some cases, NürnbergMesse is appreciably above the figures of the respective previous events for the criteria of ‘exhibitors’, ‘visitors’ and ‘stand space’. As things stand, revenue of about 220m euros plus X can be assumed for the financial year 2014.
