Mouser Electronics, Inc., known for its rapid introduction of the newest products, makes its European debut at electronica 2008, unveiling for the first time in Europe a line card that boasts over 366 manufacturers. In the last quarter alone, the company added 10 new suppliers, backing its claim to be the distributor that design engineers can rely on when they need to find innovative, new components that will differentiate their products from those of their competitors.

Explains Mark Burr-Lonnon, Vice President Europe: “We know that, while it is important to have a strong product offering in all sectors, semiconductors drive design. In the last 24 months we added major names including Texas Instruments, ON Semiconductor, NEC, and Actel. In the last year, we added NXP, Infineon, Toshiba, Atmel, and Cypress, and many more, and now our franchise list for active components has over 57 names.”

He continues: “We add new suppliers regularly to strengthen our linecard. Last quarter, for example, these manufacturers joined our portfolio: ROHM, a quality-first designer and manufacturer of semiconductors; Cirrus Logic, recognized worldwide for its expertise in analog and ICs; FDI, a leader in embedded design; Power-One, a “green” DC-DC converter and power supply company; Walsin, a world-class passive provider; and SiTime, an integrated circuit company developing silicon timing, clock, and RF chips.”
