According to Simon Hammerton, Managing Director, Lane Electronics, the addition of eCommerce will be welcomed by those users who need non-standard connectors and who need them quickly.
Hammerton commented: “It is particularly appropriate for customers throughout the motorsport sector who are big users of application specific 8STA connectors. In the coming weeks and months we will be adding all of our product offering to our on-line store to make it easy for customers to ‘click to connect’.”
On entering the store, customers are able to fine-tune their requirements by selecting form a wide range of connector parameters including shell size, type and number of contacts as well as housing material and finish. As each parameter is selected, the number of connectors or components matching the requirement is shown along with stock availability and price. The correct accessory for the chosen connector is also displayed prior to check-out.
