Aspen Electronics has announced a contract to supply the UK MoD with a substantial quantity of 100MHz analogue oscilloscopes.
The MoD was looking for a simple to use, general purpose instrument and the GW Instek GOS-6112, supplied by Aspen, provided the ideal solution.
As a result of the MoD deal, Aspen Electronics is able to offer all UK customers the 'scope at an excellent price - believed by the company to be the most competitive in the UK for this type of oscilloscope.
The GOS-6112 is a dual channel, 100MHz analogue oscilloscope with a delayed sweep function. It features a cursor readout with 7 choices of measurements, plus a panel set-up lock. The voltage range is specified at 2mV/div to 5V/div in 11 steps, and also has a continuously variable operation mode. Sensitivity accuracy is better than 3%. Rise time is 3.5ns and dynamic range is 8 divisions at 60MHz and 5 divisions at 100MHz. A Z-Axis Modulation input is also included.
The main (A) sweep time is 50ns/div to 500ms/div, continuously variable and the delay (B) sweep time is 50ns/div to 50ms/div. Sweep magnification is up to x10. Accuracy is quoted at +/-3% (+/-5% at x10 mag). Delay time is 5us to 1s and delay jitter is better than 1:20000. Trigger modes include auto, normal and TV, with a choice of trigger sources: ch 1, ch 2, line and external.
The GOS-6112 weighs just 9kg and is supplied with two probes (x1/x10) as standard.
