McCrometer Acquires Automata, Inc., And Forms New Business Unit: McCrometer Connect

McCrometer is pleased to announce the purchase of substantially all of the assets of Automata Inc., based in Nevada City, CA. Combined with the earlier acquisition of Adcon Telemetry, McCrometer also has established a new business unit, McCrometer Connect™. This new business unit will focus on developing and selling completewireless solutions for agriculture and rural water management applications.

While both companies have experience across a wide variety of products, it is the combination of Automata and Adcon’s communication options and sensor portfolio that separates us from the competition”, says Melissa Aquino, General Manager of the McCrometer Connect business unit. “Given our combined platform, we are able to deliver tangible value, such as improved yield and water savings, to irrigation districts and large farms.”
