LSI today announced its selection by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption as the top company in the technology, information and research industries on the 2012 Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List. This is the fourth consecutive year that the foundation has ranked LSI first in its industry. LSI also ranked sixth in the nation overall as well as fifth in the large employer category.
The annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List recognizes 100 companies across the United States that offer outstanding adoption benefits to their employees based on maximum financial reimbursement and paid leave time per adoption. The foundation gathers its results through an annual survey of U.S. companies.

“Adoption is a time-consuming and expensive process, but it can also be one of the most exciting decisions a family can make,” said Gautam Srivastava, senior vice president, Corporate Marketing and Human Resources, LSI. “LSI recognizes the extraordinary commitment it takes to be an adoptive family, and we are proud to support our employees throughout the process and make a positive impact on so many lives.”

LSI employee David Bayer said, “Adopting my first child has been one of the most rewarding yet demanding decisions of my life. Having an employer that understands and supports the immense time and cost commitment involved in becoming an adoptive family has been instrumental in making the transition to parenthood much smoother. Thanks to LSI’s generous support, I look forward to adopting again in the future.”

The sixth annual Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces List helps raise awareness for foster care adoption and honors the businesses in the U.S. that are helping to support adoptive families.
