Due to their brightness, durability and energy efficiency, LEDs consistently outperformed other types of bulb in the tests. The 9.5W Classic A LED lamp, which is supplied with a B22 (bayonet) or E27 (screw) fitting, features an actual brightness of 894lm from a claimed performance of 860lm. Verbatim also claim that the lamp has a life expectancy of 30,000 hours, which is around 30 years if used for a couple of hours a day.
The Which? team commented: “Very durable and efficient, and as bright as it claims to be – it’s the best bulb we’ve tested”.
“Verbatim is honoured to be recognised as a producer of the most reliable and best LED lamps by Which?. Being endorsed after such rigorous, independent testing illustrates our commitment to creating a world of energy-saving lighting by encouraging satisfied consumers to fully embrace LED technology,” commented Mats Nordin, LED Sales Manager North Europe, Verbatim.
