Lattice Semiconductor Corporation today announced that an independent panel of judges has named the LatticeECP3 FPGA family a finalist in Elektra 2009, the European Electronics Industry Awards competition. The ECP3 family already has been honored as a finalist both in the EDN-China Innovation Awards and the e-Legacy Awards competition.
This much sought-after recognition from the Elektra 2009 judges is very gratifying, said Doug Hunter, Lattice's Vice President of Corporate Marketing. We designed the mid-range, value-based ECP3 FPGA family from the ground up to be the lowest power SERDES-capable devices in the industry. Broad customer acceptance and industry recognition in multiple industry award competitions confirms that our ECP3 family has solved a pressing need in the market for economical FPGAs that do not compromise on features or performance.

Now in its seventh year and firmly established as an annual high point of the electronics industry, the Elektra Awards give the industry the opportunity to recognize the achievements of individuals and companies. The Elektra Awards will be presented at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on December 1st.
