According to Lane, Mick Varley has been involved in the interconnection industry for many years with a career that began at Marconi Communications, and also at GEC Basildon (now Leonardo) and TEC Electronic Components. Prior to joining Lane Electronics in 2013, he spent 14 years at Amphenol Ltd.
Commenting on the appointment, Lane’s Managing Director Simon Hammerton said “Lane operates across many market sectors from aerospace and defence to industrial, communications and motorsport. Mick Varley’s interconnection background and his knowledge of two of our key market sectors made him the stand-out candidate for the Sales Director post. Everyone at Lane Electronics is excited at the prospect of working with Mick Varley in his new role and I am particularly delighted that Pat Jarman has agreed to stay with us for a few months to help Mick’s transition to Sales Director.
