Although the basic unit (LMS820) is designed for SPDT (single pole double throw) applications, units will soon be available for three and four way (LMS821) and five and six way (LMS822) switches.
Commenting on the new product, Alistair Frier, business development manager of Labtech Microwave said: “This is a stand-alone product, designed and developed by our own teams, that replaces high cost parts previously purchased from US suppliers. It is a discrete, cost effective addition to the Labtech Microwave product range i.e. a switch driver as opposed to a RF PIN switch and thus a saleable item in its own right. We are already selling to other PIN switch and higher-level sub-system manufacturers who would integrate PIN switches into their higher-level products.”
