Kilopass Technology Inc., a leading provider of semiconductor embedded non-volatile memory (eNVM) intellectual property (IP), today appointed Mitch Statham vice president of worldwide sales to spur Kilopass’ drive to top-tier IP provider market valuation in the next 24 months. He reports to his new role today.
Mitch Statham joins Kilopass from Lantronix, a publicly held company and leader in secure communications solutions to connect and control equipment via the Internet. At Lantronix, he was the vice president of Americas sales. Prior to Lantronix, Statham has 20 years of sales and sales management success in the semiconductor industry, including SMSC, NEC Electronics, Symbios Logic (now part of LSI Logic), and NCR Microelectronics. In particular, as vice president of worldwide sales at SMSC, Statham grew its revenue from $120 million to $378 million from 2002 to 2009.
“I am very excited to welcome Mitch to our management team,” says Charlie Cheng, chief executive officer of Kilopass. “He brings not just superb semiconductor and ASIC sales leadership and management skills, but also public company executive experience and creditability.”
Indeed, building a balance of creative energy with management maturity and high-growth startup with strong infrastructure has been a top priority for Kilopass from the end of 2008 to today. Statham becomes the fourth officer to join the Kilopass management team with prior public company officer experience.
“I’m excited to be on-board and eager to begin helping Kilopass achieve its growth potential,” adds Mitch Statham, Kilopass’ new vice president of sales. “What brought me here were all the right ingredients for explosive expansion and the opportunity to make an impact. Kilopass has a thriving business with strong partnership and customers, a phenomenal expansion strategy to broaden beyond the existing memory business, and an excellent team that I am proud to be a part of. I look forward to helping Kilopass scale beyond the $100-million mark.”
