Mouser Electronics has completed a global distribution agreement with Imagination Technologies. On the heels of a successful Kickstarter campaign, the company’s Creator line of development boards are now available from Mouser. The Imagination product line comprises powerful development systems for Internet of Things (IoT) designs, including the new Creator Ci40 IoT hub and Ci40 kit (now available for pre-order) and the Creator Ci20 microcomputer.

The Creator Ci40 features a dual-core 550 MHz MIPS processor with floating point unit (FPU); 802.11ac and 802.15.4 Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and Fast Ethernet connectivity; and an array of additional connectivity, including USB, SPI, I2C, and general-purpose inputs and outputs (GPIOs). The board offers 512MBytes of NAND flash plus a TPM chip for added security.

The Creator Ci40 IoT kit includes all the hardware, software, and cloud infrastructure needed to quickly build a wireless IoT system. The kit includes a Creator Ci40 hub, two MikroElektronika Clicker boards which feature dedicated 6LoWPAN chips and mikroBUS sockets for adding sensors.

The kit also includes three MikroElektronika Click boards for measuring temperature, detecting motion, and controlling a relay.

The Creator Ci40 IoT kit is ideal for both individual makers looking to build a range of connected projects, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises and entrepreneurs who want to quickly prototype an IoT platform and then ramp up for volume production.

Both the Creator Ci40 hub and Ci40 kit make developing IoT projects easy and offer a mix of IoT operating systems and standards, such as OpenWrt and Debian.

The Creator Ci20 board is a fully connected, high-performance microcomputing platform for developers looking to run Linux or Android on a MIPS-based CPU.

It features a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with a 512Kbyte L2 cache; 8GBytes of NAND flash and an SD card slot for storage expansion; Imagination Technology’s PowerVR graphics processor with dedicated video hardware for a suite of popular codecs for up to 1080p video; and Fast Ethernet, 2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n/ Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.
