Juki to Host Tour of Manufacturing Facilities in Akita, Japan as Part of 25K Celebration

Juki Automation Systems, Inc. will kick off Juki Corporation’s 25,000th machine shipped celebration with a tour of three Juki manufacturing facilities located in Akita, Japan on June 14, 2012. JAS, Inc. will host David Lane, Chief Technology Officer of OnCore Manufacturing Systems, Scott Fillebrown, President of ACD, Francisco Saralegui, SMT Manager of Newsan, and Adriån Lamandia, CEO of Novatech, as its guests of honor on the tour.

Following the tour of the facilities, Juki will host a party to celebrate the 25,000th machine shipped worldwide on June 15, 2012 at the Palace Hotel Tokyo.

JDKC (Juki Denshi Kogyo Corporation) performs the final assembly of surface mount and electronic equipment. The JDKC factory is 235,000 ft² and employs 650 employees.

The machining of main frame and nozzle manufacturing takes place at the Juki Yoshino Kogyo operation that houses 150 employees in the 60,000 ft² facility.

Finally, Juki’s sheet metal and trolley manufacturing as well as painting are completed at the Juki Akita Seimitsu Corporation facility by its 150 employees in a 40,000 ft² building.
