Intersil deal reinforces RS semiconductor offering

RS Components (RS) has strengthened its global semiconductor portfolio. It has signed an agreement to offer the complete Intersil product range to its customers in all territories worldwide. The Intersil product range, including solutions for battery management, digital power, high-speed data conversion and signal conditioning, complements the RS portfolio of ICs, discretes and associated products.

Intersil also has strong optoelectronic, audio, interfacing, switching and multiplexing, and high-reliability product lines.

“RS Components has a long history of providing great support to the electronics community across many customers, markets and technologies, and this agreement will extend support for our wide range of power and analogue ICs,” said Chris Lister, Intersil’s Vice President of Sales. “We see RS as a valuable part of our sales network as we continue to expand our portfolio to address the customers’ design challenges especially in the power management area.”

Jonathan Boxall, Head of Semiconductors at RS, added, “As an authorised distributor for Intersil, we now enjoy an even stronger position as a world-class supplier of high-performance semiconductors.
