Expert in RF connectivity, HUBER+SUHNER, has reinforced its commitment to developing products dedicated for solid-state RF Energy applications as it became one of eight companies to found the International Microwave Power Institute’s (IMPI’s) new Solid State RF Energy Section.

With significant advantages over existing solutions, such as magnetrons, high-power Radio Frequency (RF) applications are on the cusp of transforming to solid-state RF Energy in many vertical markets, but pushing a new technology into new and existing markets also presents challenges. As part of IMPI’s Solid State RF Energy Section, HUBER+SUHNER is dedicated to endorsing solid-state RF Energy’s true potential as a clean, highly efficient and controllable heat and power source.

“HUBER+SUHNER realised long ago the potential of solid-state RF Energy. Since then we have used our expert knowledge to develop connectivity solutions specifically for RF Energy,” said Hannes Grubinger, Market Manager General Industrial at HUBER+SUHNER. “We look forward to being part of IMPI’s Solid State RF Energy Section and contributing to the future of this technology.”

Drawing on its expertise in electrical and optical connectivity, HUBER+SUHNER has become integral to the RF industry, providing a host of solutions and products that bring solid-state RF Energy into areas that were not previously possible.

During IMPI’s upcoming 53rd Annual Microwave Symposium, HUBER+SUHNER will take part in a panel discussion alongside other founding members of the group, IMPI members and industry professionals. Together, they will discuss how the technology will develop and explore what the future of solid-state RF Energy is likely to hold. The company will also have an exhibitor showcase section and, along with other members of the Solid State RF Energy Section, will contribute to the advanced-topics RF-Energy training course,

“In order to move forward with RF Energy technology, training and knowledge is vital,” added Grubinger. “By joining forces with other key players in the industry, we can bring faster, cheaper and more reliable solutions to address the challenges of RF Energy in the cooking/warming, lighting, ignition, medical, and industrial markets.”

The Solid State RF Energy Section will hold its first meeting at the conclusion of IMPI’s 53rd Annual Microwave Power Symposium, which will take place 18th to 20th June at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas.

Attendees of the 53rd Annual Microwave Power Symposium can find HUBER+SUHNER at the event, 18th to 20th June. They can also be found at the Solid State RF Energy Section kick-off meeting on 21 June at the same venue.
