Imagination Technologies Group reports that it has signed a multi-use license agreement with Renesas Electronics Corporation for a multi-processor core from Imagination’s new POWERVR SGX Series5XT IP core family.
Renesas will deploy the technology in future system-on-chip (SoC) designs for the mobile market.
Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination receives license fees and royalty revenues on shipment of SoCs incorporating Imagination’s IP.
