Dr. Cumbo earned a B.S. in physics, an M.S. in optical engineering, and a Ph.D. in optics all from the University of Rochester. He also earned a M.S. in electrical engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Dr. Cumbo, and the headquarters of IOP, are based in Albuquerque, NM.
IDEX Optics & Photonics President Will Participate in OSA Interview
IDEX Optics & Photonics (IOP) is proud to announce that our President: Michael J. Cumbo, Ph.D., will participate in the next Optical Society of America (OSA) Executive Speaker Series session in Rochester, NY on October 16th. This informal event will coincide with the OSA’s Frontiers in Optics (FiO) annual meeting and take place in the Corporate Theater of Empire Hall beginning at 4:00 PM. Dr. Cumbo is slated to be asked a series of questions regarding his career path and how he was drawn to the optics industry early on. During his visit to FiO, Dr. Cumbo will also spend some time at the IOP booth #309T where Melles Griot optical systems and Semrock optical filters will be on display.
