Reporting to Brett Cline, Forte’s vice president of marketing and sales, Arai will manage a sales and support team responsible for the adoption and implementation of Cynthesizer™, Forte’s high-level synthesis software, by leading-edge systems companies.
“Mike’s business acumen and track record of success building sales in Japan make him a great fit for Forte as high-level synthesis goes mainstream,” says Cline, who adds that Japan is one of Forte’s most successful regions. “His management and operations skills are well proven, as is his ability to traverse different cultures with skill and diplomacy.”
Most recently, Arai was general manager of Synfora in Japan and, previously, president of Synplicity KK, both acquired by Synopsys. Prior experiences include executive management positions at Mentor Graphics Japan, Compass Japan and Sumitomo Corp.
