Available from CML Innovative Technologies (CML-IT) is a series of flexible light guides formulated with a patented light dispersion polymer which is uniformly distributed through the optic core. A great replacement for neon lamps and intrinsically safe, CML-IT’s 754xSS series flexible light guides are available in diameters of 5.5, 6.5, 10, 12 and 14mm and can be manufactured with different concentrations of dispersion polymer, allowing light to be distributed evenly over different specified lengths for different applications such as emergency lighting in stairways or decorative lighting.
754xSS series flexible light guides feature a bend radius of less than 6 times diameter, a light acceptance angle of 45 degrees, a numerical aperture of 0.68 and a visible wavelength range of 370 to 690nm. Designed for an operating temperature range from -40 up to +120 degrees Celsius, 754xSS series flexible light guides exhibit excellent chemical resistance.

The optical core of the 754xSS flexible light guides is composed of a solid optical gel core made from optically pure case acrylic monomers, including MMA, ensuring flexibility and superior light transmission. A sheath of clear Teflon is clad around the optical core for protection and the whole composition is sealed with an outer polymer jacket.
