Fairfield has announced their membership to the highly respected MTC (Manufacturing Technology Centre).

Mark Lynch, Managing Director, Fairfield Group, said: “RFID is on the brink of a global revolution and Fairfield’s exposure, over the years, to track and trace processes within some of the very best automotive, aerospace, food and packaging manufacturers across Europe, I am sure, will be of benefit to our fellow MTC members as they embrace RFID in the next few years. We are incredibly proud to be part of the MTC. The facility provides an excellent environment for the development and demonstration of new technologies for UK manufacturing.”

Opened in 2011 from an impressive purpose-built facility in Coventry, the MTC is a member based organisation focused on pioneering the use of leading edge technologies for UK manufacturing. Now with over 75 members, the organisation aims to bridge the gap between university-based research and the development of technology in line with the Government’s manufacturing strategy.

Dr. Clive Hickman, Chief Executive, MTC, comments: “We are very pleased to welcome Fairfield to the MTC. They bring a wealth of RFID knowledge and experience to our members as well as the right RFID partner connections. They also have vast expertise across the whole range of other related technologies such as bar coding, 2D codes, laser marking and coding, OCR and verification solutions. I am sure Fairfield will contribute significantly to the many varied projects we have planned.”
