Exar Corporation announced today that Ramana Jampala, Exar's vice president of Business Development for the Data Compression and Security product line will present Optimizing Hadoop Cluster Implementation at the Big Data Conference in London.
The presentation will take place on Wednesday, March 27 at 4:20 p.m. at the Brittannia International Hotel, Canary Wharf, London. The presentation will be made available after the conference on the Big Data Conference website and on the Exar website.

The presentation will debunk five common Hadoop cluster myths and highlight three case-studies where a standard Hadoop Cluster was benchmarked versus an optimized configuration. Analytics efficiency was significantly improved by rationalizing CPU, Storage Capacity and IO Performance. The optimized configuration also offered the flexibility to reconfigure a given rack for both CPU bound and Disk IO bound applications. The results indicate Cluster TCO can be reduced by as much as 30%, while improving the Data Analytics performance.

Ramana Jampala joined Exar as vice president of Business Development of the Data Compression and Security product line through the recent Altior, Inc. acquisition.
