In addition to the award-winning Cobra, Essemtec highlighted a range of new and next-generation developments of its repertoire of machinery, such as the new 3-D SMD placement machine Hydra, the Scorpion dispensing machine and the new printers Kea and Fino. The company also launched eMIS, the integrated production management software.
Essemtec is presenting an absolute world’s first with Hydra. Hydra is the first standard machine for dispensing and assembling in 3-D that easily can be integrated into a production line. This machine allows for fully automatic production with low manufacturing cost.
The 3-D placement machine Hydra can dispense glue in nearly any position and assemble SMD components accurately. The 4-axes pick-and-place head can place up to 2,500 cph in 3-D mode and up to 7,000 cph in 2-D mode.
This wide range of technological highlights and innovations attracted a consistently large number of visitors to Essemtec’s booth over the four days of productronica. “Our booth was overwhelmed by visitors,” said Schildein who further emphasized, “there is a high interest in new and innovative products”. This also was demonstrated by numerous requests. The requests range from special projects to single machines such as the Cobra and the Tucano printer to complete turnkey solutions.
The highlight of this year’s productronica was Essemtec’s 20th anniversary party, which was celebrated with customers and partners on the evening of Wednesday, November 16 at Essemtec’s booth. “The numerous customers and partners at our booth further confirmed that we are on the right track with our ideas,” concluded Martin Ziehbrunner, CEO of Essemtec AG.
