Environmental events on the Emerald Isle

Bruel & Kjaer UK will be exhibiting at two environmental events taking place in Ireland this summer. The company’s noise specialists will be demonstrating its human vibration analyser – Type 4447 – at the National University of Ireland’s Occupational Health and Safety conference, taking place at the Galway campus on 14th and 15th June.

The 4447 meter is a portable system for testing the effects of human vibration and was designed for consultants working with measurements of – and risk evaluations caused by – exposure to occupational vibration. It’s also suitable for occupational health departments, manufacturers of building machinery, freight vehicles and other types of machinery vibration, plus manufacturers of anti-vibration pads, seats and personal protection equipment.

NUI’s one-and-a-half day conference marks 21 years of the postgraduate (MSc and HDip) programs in Occupational Health and Safety at NUI. There will be a series of presentations and social events to celebrate the achievements of the University’s graduates – plus reviews of current developments and challenges in the discipline.

Bruel & Kjaer UK will also be at the European Wind Energy Association’s (EWEA) Technology Workshop, to introduce visitors to its range of wind energy testing tools. The workshop, running on 25th and 26th June at Trinity College, Dublin, consists of five sessions over one-and-a-half days covering topics including mesoscale models, wind conditions modelling, real world power curves and the challenges of wake prediction.
