Enhancing automotive Ethernet conformance test solutions

Spirent Communications Plc announce that after two successful years of cooperation, further activities are planned to make Automotive Ethernet Conformance Testing even more customer-friendly. AUTOSAR and OPEN ALLIANCE are special interest groups that encourage wide scale adoption of Ethernet-based networks as the standard in automotive networking applications.

“This cooperation with Reutz enables Spirent to offer customers a ready-to-use package for testing of Automotive Ethernet according to AUTOSAR and OPEN ALLIANCE standards.” says Thomas Schulze, Spirent’s Director of Business Development for Automotive. “We are happy to benefit from Ruetz’s expertise, and to be able to extend our conformance testing from layers 2-7 to the physical layer, thus covering a wider field of applications,”

“We are proud to be the partner of Spirent because this cooperation enables a very good testability of Automotive Ethernet ECUs. This speeds up the development process at the Tier 1 and brings quality, robustness and compliance for future automotive applications,” explained Wolfgang Malek, General Manager and Co-Founder of Ruetz System Solutions.

Spirent invites visitors to its booth (numbers 18 and 19) at the Automotive Ethernet Congress, running February 7-8 in Munich, Germany.
