ROAL Electronics will Launch new DDP400 Sealed Series at electronica 2012

ROAL Electronics has today revealed that it will be launching the DDP400 Sealed Series at electronica 2012 – the first in a series of revolutionary high efficiency, small form factor AC/DC power supply modules with both IEC60950 and IEC60601 industrial and medical approvals. The DDP400 Sealed series is a 400W enclosed AC/DC power supply in a 3.27 x 8.34 x 1.63 in (83.0 x 212.0 x 41.5 mm) conforming to IP67 ingress protection rating.

Housed in rugged, compact enclosures, the modules are fully encapsulated in a thermally conductive compound, which protects against mechanical stress, moisture, dust and other contaminants. The modules can be mounted either to favour conduction cooling or convection by adding a heat-sink.

The DDP400 is available in three different high power output voltages at 12 V, 24 V or 48 V and is equipped with an auxiliary low power 12 V output, which can be used as the supply voltage for an external fan. An additional 5 V standby voltage is also available with a very low standby consumption < 0.5 W. The DDP400 Sealed offers high efficiency 94 % typical, conducted noise compliance to level B and a low leakage current of < 300 μA. ##IMAGE_2_C## The DDP400 Sealed is suited to a variety of end user applications in industrial and process control equipment, laboratory equipment, large area LED displays and broadcast equipment; as well as medical devices, 3D dental scanners, dialysis equipment, ultrasound equipment and clean room equipment. Key Specifications: •400 W continuous and 440 W peak power. •Small form factor of 3.27 x 8.34 x 1.63 in •Extremely high efficiency 94 % typical •Low Leakage Current < 300 μA •4000 m altitude operation •High reliability design backed by a 3 year warranty
