Cogiscan has announced that its long-time customer Dynalab EMS has expanded its traceability system. Cogiscan started working with Dynalab EMS in 2008. Initially Dynalab had two different assembly areas; one side of the factory was for general contract assembly while the other side, the 'Focused Factory,' was dedicated to specific products with customer-mandated traceability requirements.

Cogiscan was initially deployed for traceability on the Focus side only. Since then, the two sides have merged and Cogiscan was selected to upgrade Dynalab’s traceability system and expand it to both sides.

The original project also utilised Cogiscan’s open interface to seamlessly integrate with Dynalab’s third-party MES software. Cogiscan has been a reliable partner throughout the years and Dynalab’s expanded traceability system has helped them gain greater flexibility in production.

Presently Dynalab is experiencing rapid business growth, fuelled by increased production requirements from both existing and new clients. Current industry trends indicate that more OEMs than ever before are seeking EMS partners with robust traceability and error-proofing systems in place. Thus, the Cogiscan TTC system at Dynalab will serve as a key differentiator to help secure new customers moving forward.

To sustain its growth Dynalab continues to invest in new capital equipment throughout the facility. Dynalab has future plans to expand the Cogiscan TTC system to additional operations. Cogiscan offers an extensive library of machine interfaces to ensure that it can integrate with all major equipment types, brands and models.
