Using customer feedback, he will help guide the company in bringing new products to market that meet evolving application needs. Additionally, he will manage international marketing efforts including tradeshows, seminars, and customer programs such as Blue Ocean Grants.
Allen comes to Ocean Optics from Thermo Fisher Scientific where he served most recently as global marketing manager for its NanoDrop UV-Visible and fluorescence products. Prior to that, he worked as a post-doctoral research associate at Louisiana State University, on a team developing microfluidic microdevices for bioanalytical applications. Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Bellarmine University and Doctorate in BioAnalytical Chemistry from University of Kansas.
