David M. Uze appointed president and representative director of Freescale Semiconductor Korea, Inc.

Freescale Semiconductor Inc. today announced David M. Uze has been appointed Freescale Semiconductor Korea Inc’s., president and representative director. He will also keep his current position of vice president of Freescale Semiconductor Inc. and president of Freescale Semiconductor Japan Ltd.
Mr. Uze has management responsibility for Freescale Korea Inc. and is tasked with expanding Freescale’s business in Korea and Japan as a leader in Global Sales and Marketing. Yeonho Hwang, who serves as Freescale Korea Inc.’s country manager, will continue in his current role and responsibilities.

Mr. Uze joined Freescale Semiconductor in April 2010 as vice president of Freescale Semiconductor Inc. and president of Freescale Semiconductor Japan Ltd. He has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience in Japan and Asia through senior leadership roles in several global high-tech companies.

Under Mr. Uze’s leadership, the Freescale Korea team plans to strengthen its competitiveness and its lineup of key products in a variety of markets, including automotive, networking and consumer, and continue to build on its leadership in the embedded semiconductor market in Korea.

I expect David will bring the same high energy, passion and creativity to his new role as president of Freescale Korea Inc. that he has brought to his past responsibilities at Freescale, said Henri Richard, senior vice president and chief sales and marketing officer of Freescale Semiconductor Inc.
