Critical Manufacturing selected for MedTech manufacturing

Critical Manufacturing has announced it has been awarded a contract by Nypro, a designer and manufacturer of medical devices. Nypro, a Jabil Company, has more than 40 years’ experience in meeting the complex demands of the diagnostic, medical device, pharmaceutical and consumer health markets.

Its decision to implement a new Manufacturing Process Management (MPM) with MES for shop floor-level operations, was based on the desire to eliminate manual processes associated with paper-based device and batch history records. The new system will sit between Nypro’s current PLM application and ERP system and will be implemented across 15 plants.

Mohamed Benkirane, VP Medical Device Practice at Critical Manufacturing, stated: “We have been strategically focused on helping medical device manufacturers to drive efficiency; meet demand for cost effective, increasingly sophisticated and customised devices; and achieve easier compliance with regulations.

“Our modular MES is specifically designed with the capabilities to meet the needs of the MedTech manufacturing sector, deliver a pathway to Industry 4.0 and future-proof manufacturers in an era of constant change. We are delighted to be working with Nypro and look forward to helping them meet their operational goals.”

Nypro has chosen feature-rich Critical Manufacturing MES, which is designed in configurable modules for straightforward implementation and flexible application. The system has been proven to increase efficiency, productivity and quality while offering complete traceability and easier regulatory compliance for the MedTech industry.
