With its membership at the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), COMPRION has taken an important step to advance CDMA2000 technology. For many years COMPRION has been an active member in a number of standardisation and regulation organisations such as 3GPP, GCF, PTCRB, CCF, NFC Forum or ETSI. In this way, COMPRION could market reliable conformance test equipment for Smart Card interfaces which are known for improving the quality and compliancy of mobile devices. As a member of 3GPP2 and TIA, COMPRION is actively involved in the standardisation of CDMA2000 and shows its commitment to this technology.
COMPRION receives first-hand information on new developments and can integrate the requirements promptly into their test tools. These systems are therefore always up-todate and ensure that the mobile devices tested with the equipment conform according to the CDMA2000 specifications. 3GPP2 is a collaboration between different North American and East Asian telecommunications associations, among them the TIA, which develops specifications for mobile phones using CDMA2000 technology. The TIA is a global trade association with headquarters in the United States and is supported by about 600 members of the telecommunications industry. The organisation focuses on standard development, government affairs, business opportunities, market intelligence, certification and world-wide environmental regulatory compliance.
