A leading independent distributor of electronic components, Azego, has purchased its previously rented premises and an additional neighbouring building in Theale, Berkshire, with the support of a £612,000 commercial mortgage loan from HSBC.

Azego provides material for a variety of trades, including automotive and transportation industries. The company’s clientele boasts Alstom, Thales Group and Magneti Marelli (a service provider for Volkswagen, BMW and Fiat).

The property purchase has allowed Azego to secure long-term stability and the opportunity to invest further in its future. It has expanded its warehouse with new equipment and introduced new ways of working, including a more effective quality inspection process. As part of the investment Azego has hired five new employees, and expects to hire additional members of staff in the future.

Ian Nash, HSBC’s Area Director of Business Banking in the Thames Valley, said: “Taking ownership of its premises was an important step for Azego, allowing the business to create a stable and secure working environment. The business has also taken the opportunity to grow, doubling its size through the expansion of its offices and warehouse. Azego has an impressive industrial client base and this latest investment will allow the business to continue to provide a high quality service to its customers.”

Steve Dopson, Director of Azego, said: “We have banked with HSBC for ten years. With the bank’s financial support and professional guidance, we have substantially grown our business by creating more effective ways of working, increasing our logistics and expanding our team. Having full ownership of our business has always been important to us and it’s great to officially own our expanded site in Berkshire.
