The SCL range of 22mm sounders from Switchtec satisfies the increasing requirement for both visual and aural status indication in the workplace. Aimed at panel builders, OEMs, CEMs, electric vehicle and equipment manufacturers, the units save on space as well as simplifying design and reducing BOM costs when otherwise two devices would be required.
Available as either sounders or combined LED sounders in a standard 22mm format, they can be fitted to new panels or retro fitted as replacements to standard sounders or LED indicators where both light and sound indication is required.

Due to its compact size and touch proof terminals, the stand-alone SCL sounder offers an easy to install unit. However the combined SCL sounder and LED does away with the customer having to purchase and fit two separate components. The combined unit is just as easy to fit as the stand-alone sounder but has the benefit of a built-in LED.

The compact yet standard 22mm size of the units enables easy fitting with just a lock nut on the rear of the buzzer. The sounder unit is supplied in a standard black colour, whilst the combined sounder and LED is available in red, green, amber, clear (white light), and blue.

The SCL units are available in 12VAC/DC, 24VAC/DC, 110VAC and 230VAC supply variants. The LED technology deployed keeps current consumption low at only 20mA. Rated at IP54 level of protection, the units can be used in outdoor applications, or where water ingress may be an issue.

Available in continuous or pulsating sound, continuous sound and continuous LED or pulsating sound and flashing LED variations, the compact units offer a punchy 70db at 10cm sound output, and a highly visible 20cd/m2 brightness level.

All the SCL 22mm sounders and LED sounders are fully RoHS compliant, CE marked and are available ex stock at competitive prices from Switchtec.
