ChipX signs Nu Horizons Electronics for U.S. and Europe

ChipX has announced it has signed a distribution agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. The agreement is effective immediately and provides Nu Horizons customers with global fulfilment and distribution access in North America and Europe to the widest range of ASIC solutions and services from ChipX.
“ChipX is a leader and reputable supplier of Structured ASICs, Embedded Arrays and Standard Cell ASICs and has established an outstanding record of first-time working silicon,” said Rita Megling, senior vice president of marketing at Nu Horizons. “We are excited about the opportunity to partner with ChipX and offer more value to our customers through ChipX’s broad portfolio of products and services.”

ChipX engineering services, a key value component of ChipX’s offering, include complete back-end ASIC design from RTL to prototypes, mixed signal and analog intellectual property (IP) integration, seamless migration from Structured ASIC to Standard Cell, replacement of End-Of-Life (EOL) FPGAs and ASICs, and Shuttle Service for prototyping. These engineering services are complemented by a manufacturing operation with a 97% record of on-time delivery and a three-week lead time from GDS2 to prototypes on many Structured ASIC products. ChipX is ISO 9001 certified, RoHS/Green compliant, Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliant. ChipX is committed to long life cycle support and continues to manufacture devices that were sampled more than ten years ago.
