Celab Celebrates 40 Years of Innovative Power

Celab, the high reliability power solution design company, celebrated this month their 40th anniversary by visiting the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust.

Selected members of staff visited the museum and had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a Harrier, amongst other aircraft and exhibits. The Harrier marked an important milestone in Celab’s history back in 1971 when they were selected to design and manufacture one of their first switch mode power supplies for the aircraft’s radar system.
Managing director, Julian Wood, commented: “Celab was an early pioneer in switch mode power for defence applications, giving us the opportunity to work on many defence projects in the early 70s such as Nimrod and Harrier. This pioneering spirit continues to the present day with projects such as Typhoon and A300M, where Celab continues to push the boundaries of power supply technology.”
